Doidy Weaning helps you take part in National Vegetarian Week May 10 -16th

Doidy Weaning has some great recipes for your little one so why not take part in the Veggie 1,2,3 Challenge this week?

This recipe is so easy and can be batch cooked and frozen in pots, its bound to become a favourite weaning meal.

Recipe – Root Vegetable Mash.


1 potato

1/2 a sweet potato

1 parsnip

3 tablespoons of breast or formula milk


Peel and dice the vegetables and place in a small saucepan with just enough water to cover them.

Bring the vegetables to the boil and then simmer for approximately 15 minutes.

Drain the vegetables and using a potato masher, mash them with the milk until smooth.

Taste for temperature before serving.

Sprinkle with cheese if you wish and serve in your Doidy bowl. Enjoy!
